Background

Kuwait Dyslexia Association seeks the professional services of a Consultant in the field of IT applictions for dyslexia screening to support the ongoing efforts of Kuwait Dyslexia Association to produce cutting edge technology applications to aid the rocess of early identification and screening of dyslexia in Arabic.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

Output 1:

Research available similar programmes and study their strengths and weakness and identify skeleton programme.

Output 2:

Put together a screening application.

Output 3:

Trial it and liaise with Apple regarding applying it.

Objectives:

Put together a screening programme utilizing the IPhone and IPad applications.
Test the Application, standardize it and then make it available for the public.

Expected Outputs:

Priliminart small scale research regarding similar avialable applications of dyslexia screening.
A screening application with items to screen for dyslexia.
Programming of the application.
Trial of the application and publishing it online.

Competencies

An advanced knowledge of technological equipment and its application of for the service of persons with disabilities.
Advanced experience in computer programming.
Previous working knowledge in Kuwait and the Middle East.

Required Skills and Experience

University degree in the field of speciality.
The ability to speak English fluently with some basic knowledge of Arabic.
Over 30 years in the field of education dealing with learning difficulties and disabilities.
