I. Organizational Context
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the MIS/GIS Associate identifies the need for MIS/GIS development of BPBD DI Yogyakarta and Central Java (provincial and district level), provides data management and information system framework for BPBD, provides supports for BPBD on data management and web-based information flows and dissemination on the disaster recovery and supports for data management, information systems, and IT related issues of the project.
The MIS/GIS Associate works in close collaboration with the BPBD of DI Yogyakarta and Central Java, DR4 Project and CPRU Recovery Cluster.

Summary of key functions:
- Identification of the need for MIS/GIS development of BPBD DI Yogyakarta and Central Java (provincial and district level)
- Provision of data management and information system framework for BPBD
- Provision of supports for BPBD on data management and web-based information flows and dissemination on the disaster recovery.
- Provision of supports for data management, information systems, and IT related issues of the project.
1. Identification the needs for MIS/GIS development of BPBD focusing on achievement of the following result:
- Development of tool for capacity assessment referring to UNDP guidelines
- Participatory MIS need assessment including technical skill and equipment
- Analysis and formulation of the MIS needs of BPBD
2. Provision of data management and information system framework for BPBD focusing on achievement of the following result:
- Identification/development of the most suitable data management system/software.
- Development of database system/template
- Development of web page
3. Provision of supports for BPBD on data management and web-based information flows and dissemination on the disaster recovery, focusing on achievement oft he following result:
- Provision of support to BPBD MIS/GIS staff in collecting, verifying, and inputting data
4. Provision of supports for data management, information systems, and IT related issues of the project, focusing on achievement oft he following result:
- Identification of required system for partner and stakeholders link to project target
III. Impact of Results
The key results have an impact on the capacity of Local Government (BPBD) in managing data including data collection, processing, analyzing, and disseminating of data and information regarding post disaster recovery that will significantly enhanced the role of BPBD in the planning, implementation, and coordination of post disaster recovery activities.

Qualifications et expériences requises
V. Recruitment Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems or other relevant field
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experiences in the relevant field
- Familiarity of UNDP system, and has experience in working with UNDP rules and procedures is an advantage.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian with an appropriate level of report writing and presentation skills.
