Background |
| The State of Kuwait in coordination with UNDP is striving to enhance institutional efficiency in the Supreme Council for Planning and Development especially in improving performance and coping with analytical approaches needed to fulfill tasks. In this context, the SCPD intends to recruit a senior expert in bio-statistics or relevant disciplines to assist the staff at the office of the Secretary General in that respect.

Duties and Responsibilities |
- Must commit to 40 hours per week of work on or off site.
- Provide technical assistance in all aspects of planning activities from bio-statistical perspective.
- Conduct studies on bio-statistics as requested by the beneficiary.
- Conduct position papers on population and labor indicators with analysis and recommendations to be used by planners.
- Provide executable recommendations about the best use of prediction and projection methods of bio-data and best fit systems to be applied.

Required Skills and Experience |
|
Education: - Ph.D in bio-statistics/statistics and/or population statistics.
Experience: - Ten year of experience in the field.
- Experience in similar projects is a plus.
- Experience in the adaptation to and the application of computer based tools in bio-statistics for planning according to beneficiary's' needs.
- Demonstrated experience in bio-statistical analysis for planning purposes.
Language Requirements:
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
