Background
Under the guidance of Operations Manager and supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the Office Assistant & Messenger provides reliable messenger services.
The Office Assistant & Messenger demonstrates a client-oriented approach, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collection and delivery of mail and other materials as required from and to the post office, government agencies and other institutions.
- Sorting, delivery and pick up of mail from various offices on the premises at regular intervals.
- Packaging/packing of material received for dispatch; labeling, inserting material in envelopes and franking outgoing mail.
- Maintenance of records as required.
- Other duties as required.
- Monitoring of all visitors to the office; assistance to visitors by providing directions and accurate information related to UN/UNDP.
- Operates photocopying and duplicating machines, binding, and filing.
- Maintenance of recording information in the system, solution of minor technical.problems and reporting service providers for regular maintenance and repair.
- Other duties as required.
Administrative Support
- Assistance in the preparation of cost-recovery bills for the administrative services.
- Support in local shopping /purchasing.
- Assist / support in maintenance of assets.
- Assist / support with travel arrangements.
- Assisting the Security Focal Point in maintaining / managing security requirements.
- Other duties as required.

Experience:
- 2 years of relevant work experience
Language requirements:
- Fluent English and Native Turkish and/or Native Greek
Other requirements:
- Valid driving license.
- Nationals or others legally authorized to work in Cyprus.
