Background

 The Project Coordinator/Consultant is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and day-to-day management of UN Women’s HeforShe campaign. The consultant reports to Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships to project manage key creative priorities and ensure all projects have adequate research and scoping, well documented strategies, work plans, and budgets, and that decisions are made and actioned in a timely manner;
  • Implementation and management of creative traffic management system: building schedule, allocating resources, keeping jobs moving, ensuring deadlines are met, encouraging communication, proactively identifying peak staffing needs;
  • Support Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships on external relationship management;
  • Provide project support to Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships;
  • Creative Team Intern/volunteers recruitment and management;
  • Work with the Creative campaign partners to design and implement new initiatives and to communicate these to the organization.
  • Develop and track project-specific success measures and conduct end-of-project evaluations including budget analysis. Share findings with relevant parties;
  • Keep track of current projects including all relevant project plans and budgets, along with any expected/upcoming projects.  Identify areas for collaboration and coordination;
  • Work with Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships to facilitate the creation of Creative Team plans and to ensure that teams’ day-to-day activities are guided by those plans;
  • Participate in Project Management Team meetings and support the role out of Project Management training sessions and the refinement of project management processes as needed;
  • Any other duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • MSc. degree, MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in the development of a campaign architecture;
  • Proficient in MS Office programs and google docs;
  • Demonstrable experience working on complex and varied projects and reporting on budgets;
  • Strong business acumen and sound business judgment, understanding of complex organizational structures and experience working successfully in multi discipline teams;

 Language:

  • Fluency in oral and demonstrated superior writing skills in English is required;
  • Proficiency in another UN working language is desirable.
