Required Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications:

Diploma degree in sociology, community development, communication and information technology (ICT) and other relevant field; OR the equivalent combination of education and the solid/extensive relevant professional experience in a related area

Years of experience:

A minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in the facilitating village government and community related to Village Information System (VIS), community media and Disaster Management especially community based disaster risk management.
Experience in working with village government, community based organizations and village communities in rural areas.
Experience in assisting and actively involved in developing of VIS for Disaster Management especially for Community Based Disaster Risk Management.
Experience on VIS installation, web-based VIS management and maintaining functions of VIS included but not limited to population data bases, public services, disaster data preparedness, EWS and village promotion.
Experience in working with community media for Disaster Risk Reduction and actively involved in community media network and disaster management network.
Experience on information system and database management including installation of the intranet, access point and server. Able to operate a computer program using Microsoft Office (word, excel and power point), surfing & browsing (email, modem & Wi-Fi).
