Duties and Responsibilities

Competencies

Required Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications:

Master degree in Fisheries, Marine Resources, Oceanography, Development Studies or equivalent, a PhD degree is preferred.

Years of experience:

At least 15 years of relevant experience in fisheries, biodiversity management, international waters and policy development; work experience in South-East Asia country is preferred.
Strong knowledge of trans-boundary issue, regional cooperation on marine and fisheries sectors.
Have understanding on coastal pollution and climate change would be an advantage.
Experience in developing project documents for international funded project.
Hold experience in research, multidisciplinary approach and project management.
Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint) is expected with statistical and or spatial analysis skills a plus.
Have capacity to facilitate high level stakeholders consultation and policy development would be an asset.
