Required Skills and Experience

Education:

Doctoral degree in forestry, environment, biodiversity management, sustainable development or related field.

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience on environmental protection and natural resources management, related scientific research, or environmental program design and implementation;
Proven track record of drafting relevant materials in the biodiversity/ecosystem based adaptation areas (publications, reports and related documentation);
Substantive experience in developing proposal and/or project document for major donors’ funded project;
Experience to analyse current policies and biodiversity related issues in Indonesia and other countries;
Good knowledge on sustainable financing mechanisms;
Good knowledge on conservation needs assessment methodology;
Strong knowledge on community-based natural resource management; and
Knowledge and understanding of the relevant CDB and UN Conventions.
