Required Skills and Experience

Education:

Minimum a Master degree in environmental science/geography/climate science/information management/regional plan/disaster management/ other related areas.

Experiences:

A minimum 10 years of relevant experiences either in climate change, climate risk and impacts, disaster risk reduction and management, and/or climate change adaptation areas;
Knowledge on policies related to climate risk or disaster risk assessment;
Knowledge of climate risk assessment, disaster risk assessment, or the climate related disaster risk assessment for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction is preferable;
Knowledge on data and information required for the risk assessments, e.g., spatial and temporal availability of climate, socio-economic and biophysical data;
Knowledge of spatial climate data including the development of regional climate change projections and the other spatial data required for the risk assessments for the current and future period, the data format and handling;
Substantive experience and analytical skills on DRR or CCA;
Knowledge of Indonesian disaster management and climate change related policies and regulations;
Experience in working with key stakeholders in DRR and CCA areas not limited to governments but also other relevant key stakeholders such as scientists, practitioners, universities, international organizations, NGOs, and/or UN/UNDP
Substantive experience in conducting trainings;
