Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct an assessment the current system for monitoring & handling complaints and internal oversight procedure (The Supreme Court Circular Letter no 076 &Draft The Supreme Court regulations, SMS Whistle Blower and Complaint Boxes)
Conduct preliminary surveys to 7 pilot courts in order to oversee the existing the current system for monitoring and handling complaints;
Support The Supreme Courts Working Group on Oversight to develop new public complaint mechanism to be considered by The Supreme Courts;
Conduct test of the new public complaint mechanism, its online application & SMS Whistle Blower to 7 pilot courts;
Transfer knowledge on the legal bases assessment on the current systems for monitoring and handling complaints, and the new public complain mechanism into Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and Handbook to the SUSTAIN Project, pilot courts, the Supreme Court Working Group on Oversight and public outreach;
Deliver and report weekly progress to SUSTAIN in weekly meetings on detailed development progress, challenges encountered, proposed solutions, and other directly relevant topics as they may arise;
Provide supporting documentation for all enhancements;
The Consultant may contribute to the project quarterly report and other project reports and deliverables, and he may be asked to provide oral and written progress reports to the CTA, UNDP and other projects;
The Consultant may be called upon by the CTA to assist with assessment trips to the Supreme Court and pilot courts;
As teamwork is crucial to the success of the project, the Consultant may also help coordinate work with other project staff working as a team;
The Consultant may also be called upon by the CTA to assist with other project needs as required.
