Background

The positions are located in the Amman, Dakar and Islamabad field offices of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS). Staff members are subject to the authority of the Secretary-General and to assignment by him or her. In this context, all staff are expected to move periodically to new functions and other duty stations in their careers, as per established rules and procedures. The rotation programme is managed centrally by UNDSS.
