Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Office of the Resident Coordinator/UN Coordination Specialist, the UN Coordination Associate provides assistance to the execution of services in the Resident Coordinator’s Office by managing data and providing support to the implementation of relevant activities. The UN Coordination Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme, project and knowledge management teams of the UN agencies staff to perform these functions.
The UN Coordination Associate can supervise clerical and support staff. The UN Coordination Associate works in close collaboration with the operation, programme and project teams of the UN Agencies and UNDOCO staff for resolving complex UN programme-related issues and exchange of information.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Ensures effective support in preparation and implementation of country programming processes and products and services, including CCA and UNDCS focusing on achievement of the following results:

3. Provides support to effective advocacy of UN activities, in close consultation with UNIC and the information/communication focal points of the UN system, focusing on the achievement of the following results:

The key results have an impact on the overall UN programmes efficiency and the efficiency in delivering all aspects of the functions of the RC Office. Accurate analysis and presentation of information strengthens the capacity of the RC Office and promotes the image of the UN as an effective contributor to the development of the Country.

Required Skills and Experience
Education: | A first level University Degree or equivalent in Economics, International Relations, Development, Political Sciences, Management/Business Administration. Master Degree will be an asset. |
Experience: | 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or programme experience is required at the national or international level. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems. Experience in coordination specifically in the UN system is an asset. |
Language Requirements: | Excellent communication, writing and editorial skills in English and Turkish. Knowledge of French language would be an asset. |
