The Communication Unit at UNDP Geneva is seeking a consultant to assist in maintaining UNDP Geneva website and Twitter account.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Communication specialist, the candidate will:

  • Provide assistance in curating stories, images and videos in UNDP global site and in updating UNDP Geneva web content management system;
  • Assist in reviewing translations in French, proofreading and reformulating if necessary for optimal web presentation;
  • Research quality pictures in UNDP database;
  • Create pages and upload content in UNDP Geneva content Management System;
  • Review available content from web stories published on UNDP global and other UNDP websites as well as from partners and schedule tweets for UNDP Geneva Twitter account ensuring consistency across languages, timeliness and accuracy.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Master degree.

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience;
  • Experience with formatting and updating content on CMS - Knowledge of CQ5, UNDP content management system (CMS), a strong asset;
  • Experience with editing English and French material;
  • Experience with drafting content for Tweeter in English and French;
  • Graduate degree programme in a development or communications-related field, such as journalism, interactive telecommunications, international relations, political science, anthropology, sociology, public or business administration;
  • Experience with an international organization, and with UNDP an asset.

Language:

  • Excellent command of written English and French.

Note:

  • Must be available at least 8 hours a week.
