Background

As mandated by SMT, UNDSS is conducting SSAFE training in Amman Jordan for all staff deploying to Yemen.  UNDSS intends to hire an Individual Contract Stress Counselor to facilitate a session on Stress Management and Resilience in High risk Environment during the training.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Training on Stress Management and Resilience in High Risk Environment for participants;   
  • Provide training handout for all the participants;           
  • Monitor the field practical exercise scenarios and provide counselling/guidance to the participants on their behavioral patterns and how best to handle similar situations in real life;
  • Submit a detailed report immediately after the training;

Objectives of the assignment:

Provide the required straining on Stress management for the UN and NGOs  25 participants in each  SSAFE training  for a total of 20 trainings during 2017 in order to   be fully trained and equipped with essential tools and skills needed for deployment in a high risk environment like Yemen.

Deliverables:

  • Provide Training on Stress Management and Resilience in High Risk Environment for participants.  Estimated Duration:  20 working days Percentage from total contract amount: 75%;
  • Provide training handout for all the participants. Duration 20 Working days payment 10%;
  • Monitor the field practical exercise scenarios and provide counselling/guidance to the participants on their behavioral patterns and how best to handle similar situations in real life.Estimated Duration 20 working days, Percentage from total contract amount 15%;

 

Competencies

Functional Competencies:

  •  Past experience conducting similar trainings in the UN or INGO;

Core Competencies:

  • Certified stress counsellor by any of the recognized certifying bodies globally;

Required Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in psychology or any other related field in psychosocial studies
  • Experience in leading and conducting Stress Counselling for staff of international organizations;

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive, professional  field experience;
  • Candidate with Bachelor  degree require 7 years working  experience;

Language Requirements:

Fluent English language and good knowledge Arabic is desirable

Evaluation:

The award will be based on the Combined Scoring method 70% technical evaluation and 30% financial evaluation (highest ranked candidate).

Note: If you select the method B please put the scoring method for evaluation criteria.

Individual Contractor (IC) will be evaluated based on Cumulative Analysis as per the following scenario:

  • When using this weighted scoring method, the award of the contract should be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:

  • Responsive/compliant/acceptable, and

  • Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation.

  • The respective weight of the proposals are:

  • Technical Criteria weight; [70%]

  • Financial Criteria weight; [30%]

Technical assessment:

  • Proven experience in the related field;
  • Relevant area of education;
  • Possessing the required skills mentioned in the TORs;
  • Relevant education/training;
