The UNDP Partnership for the Future Programme, funded by the European Union, aims at contributing to the peace building process in Cyprus through different levels of intervention such as Urban Upgrading and Cultural heritage preservation and Rehabilitation.

Devoirs et responsabilités

Under the overall guidance of the Programme Manager and the supervision of the Communications and Programme Associate, the intern is expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Assist in the production and editing of small in-house videos
  • Assist in the graphic design of communication material
  • Assist in updating the website weekly
  • Assist in updating PFF profiles on social networks (Facebook, YouTube, Flickr) daily with information about project activities and events
  • Assisting in writing press releases and blog entries
  • Daily press review
  • Attend and participate in presentations, meetings, and take minutes
  • Assisting in the organization of cultural events
  • Other task may include: general administrative assistance to the cultural heritage project as required

Only candidates currently enrolled in a Masters' university programme will be considered.

The Intern is expected to be in the office full time and respect the office working hours

Important note: Internships within the UN system are unpaid and subject to conditions the applicant must get familiar with prior to signing his/her internship agreement.

At the end of the collaboration, a final report detailing the incumbent’s experience and work assigned in the different UNDP-PFF focus areas will be expected.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters' degree programme in communication, journalism, media or film studies

Language:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of Turkish and/or Greek is an asset.
