Key Functions:

Under the overall direction of the Chief of the Human Resources, and direct supervision of the Staffing Unit Team Leader, the Analyst performs the following functions:
- Positions are filled to meet staffing needs, based on effective matching of individual competencies to position requirements, using cost-effective assessment techniques;
- Management of transparent and competitive recruitment and selection processes including proper job classification, vacancy announcement, screening of candidates and the appropriate use of different contract modalities;
- Effective use of sourcing, networking and marketing to generate quality slates of short-listed candidates for key positions;
- Effective support to management’s internal staffing reviews, including development of staffing/vacancy projections;
- Organization and facilitation of interview panels, preparation of summary reports of interview panels and for UN Women’s Appointment Committee;
2. Advice on contractual, recruitment and staffing matters, applying innovative staffing policies, guidelines and strategies, at Headquarters and field offices, to ensure effective sourcing, selecting and placement of human resources that meet organizational requirements, focusing on achieving the following results:
- Accurate, reliable and timely advice given to management at Headquarters and in field offices on effective and efficient staffing of positions;
- Operational guidelines in place and technical advice provided to support HQ-based UN Women Appointment Committee;
- Continued relevance of recruitment, staffing and contractual policies to UN Women needs assessed, making recommendations to adapt or modify such policies as may be necessary to achieve organizational objectives;
- Strategic and operational support to Chief -HR to implement staffing and recruitment actions as part of organizational development and change management processes, including deployment/ re-deployments of staff members;
- Technical support to field-based UN Women HR network on contractual and staffing policy and practice.
3. Support HR administrative matters regarding contract administration focusing on achieving the following results:
- Supports the processing and administering contracts at HQ as well as at the field level when necessary;
- Reports on recruitment and management of vacancies and related issues.
- Provides advice to UN Women’s Committees on recruitment policy and practices.
- Ensures proper and accurate maintenance of recruitment records
- Contributes to the development of and implements new human resources policies, practices and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the Organization;
- Monitors and ensures the adequate implementation of human resources policies, practices and procedures; identifies needs for corrective actions; follows up on audit findings and recommendations;
- Participates in special recruitment projects.

- HR services provided to management and staff ensures client satisfaction and high staff morale, leading to improved individual staff performance;

Qualifications et expériences requises
Education:
- Masters degree in social sciences, business, human resources management, or related field.
Experience:
- At least two years of relevant experience in human resources management, with particular focus on recruitment and staffing with an international organization.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in at least one other UN working language is desirable
