Les postes GS de durée déterminée à pourvoir au Siège qui sont publiés en interne, sont ouverts aux membres du personnel de catégorie GS basés actuellement à New York ou à Washington, qu’ils soient nommés à titre permanent ou engagés à durée déterminée au PNUD à New York ou à Washington, aient un titre de résident permanent aux Etats-Unis, soient de nationalité américaine ou titulaires d’un visa G4 valide au moment de la candidature, et à ceux dont le visa G4 a été délivré dans le cadre de leur poste dans le système des Nations Unies à New York ou à Washington.

Les postes GS de durée déterminée et les contrats temporaires (TA) à pourvoir à New York ou à Washington qui sont publiés en externe, sont ouverts aux candidats qui ont un titre de résident permanent aux Etats-Unis, sont de nationalité américaine ou titulaires d’un visa G4 valide au moment de la candidature et à ceux dont le visa G4 a été délivré dans le cadre de leur poste dans le système des Nations Unis à New York ou à Washington.

Les membres du personnel actuels de catégorie GS en poste à l’extérieur du Siège devront remplir les critères d’admissibilité cités ci-dessus.

Les candidats sélectionnés remplissant les critères d’admissibilité devront couvrir leurs propres frais de déplacement et/ou de transfert.

En vue de la présélection, les candidats aux postes de catégorie GS de durée déterminée devront passer avec succès un test d’aptitude aux fonctions d’appui administratif (ASAT).

Les candidats considérés à la présélection pour des postes exigeant des compétences en comptabilité (AFT PNUD) et en finance auront à passer le test de comptabilité et de finance du PNUD avant d’être présélectionnés.

Historique

The Office of Audit and Investigations (OAI) reports to the Administrator and is responsible for internal audit and investigation services to UNDP and its affiliated entities.   OAI provides independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls.
 
OAI has a decentralized organizational structure, with the Directorate, the Investigations Section, the Headquarters Audit Section and Special Assignments Section located at Headquarters and five Regional Audit Centres located in the regions covered by UNDP. Under the Directorate is the Quality Assurance and Policy Unit (QAPU). OAI produces its internal audit reports in English language, totaling about 80 a year. These reports are disclosed to the general public.
 
The Editorial Associate reports to the Chief, QAPU.  He/she provides assistance in ensuring that audit reports are of high quality, in terms of language and format.  The Editorial Associate works in close collaboration with OAI audit staff at Headquarters and in the Regional Audit Centres to ensure consistency, quality and timeliness.

Summary of Key Functions: 
  • Provides effective and efficient editorial services.
  • Supports the implementation of the quality assurance programme.
Under the supervision of the Chief, QAPU and within delegated authority, the Editorial Associate:
  • Ensures that the final internal audit report adheres to the editorial standards of OAI and UNDP.
  • Ensures that the phraseology and the terminology are correct and that the style is appropriate for the main users of the report as well as the general public.
  • Edits for continuity, logical arrangement, completeness, relevance of material, readability, clarity of expression and internal consistency.
  • Proofreads to ensure correct format, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Highlights to the Chief, QAPU, or directly to the auditors concerned, any unclear or inaccurate facts, figures, references, etc. noted from the draft and proposes amendments for consideration.
  • Assists in the design of templates for reports or other written standard documents of OAI.
  • Provides support to other activities of QAPU, as required.
  • As alternate to the Administrative Associate of QAPU during his/her absence or during periods of peak workload, finalizes audit reports for issuance, enters data in and generates reports from the Comprehensive Audit and Recommendations Database System (CARDS) and assumes other tasks as required.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Chief, QAP Unit, the Deputy Director (Audit) or the Director, OAI.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:
  • Completion of secondary education. 
  • First level university degree from a university or institution of equivalent status in which English is the language of instruction.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in on-screen editing or directly relevant field.
  • Experience in desktop publishing and/or web management is an advantage.
Language Requirements:
  • Must have perfect command of the English language, which should be his/her main language.
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish is an advantage.
