- Ensures effective support to UNCT in monitoring the progress against the 2013 - 2017 UNDAF and Joint UN programme coordination;
- Implements and monitors the approved UNCT Communications Strategy ;
- Coordinate on behalf of the UN RC the gathering of information produced for the joint working groups including the OMT, DMRT, M & E working group and the PMT;
- Ensures preparation , implementation and cordination of the RC Work Plan and reports;
- Ensures effective advocacy of UN activities in close consultation with the regional UNIC office and the information / communication focal points of the UN system;
- Ensures creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy for UNDAF implementationfocusing on achievement of the following results: Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and management.

Qualifications et expériences requises
Education:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Sciences, Journalism, or related field.
Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of communications strategies and products;
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, social media, experience in handling of web based management systems.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
