Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:

Minimum PHD or Master Degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Natural Sciences, Environment or other related field. Ph.D Degree with a background in climate change mitigation is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum 6 years for PHD and 8 years for Bachelor of experiences in Forestry, Agriculture, Natural Sciences, Environment or other related field;
Relevant experience at the national or international level in Forestry and Land Use or other relevant climate change mitigation land based projects;
Substantive knowledge in climate change mitigation, particularly Forestry and Land Use will be advantage;
Experience in handling of web based management systems will be advantage;
Familiarity with UNFCCC National Communication requirements, is a plus but not mandatory;
Demonstrated experience in working with government institutions in collaboration with UN agency involved in Forestry and Land Use is a plus but not mandatory;
Extensive knowledge on spatial analysis including Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing will be an advantage;
Experience in delivering technical training and capacity building to a range of different stakeholders related to Forestry and Land Use issues.
