Deberes y responsabilidades
- Ensure inclusion of gender-specific objectives, indicators, targets and activities in the regional programmes, including ongoing UNDP-supported capacity-building initiatives for government officials and other partners.
- Ensure that gender concerns are addressed during the design, monitoring and evaluation of Pacific regional programmes.
- Support, wherever possible, specific identification of gender gaps and successes in final project reports; external review by gender experts/ subject specialists of project and programme documents in all practice areas; and the development of performance indicators for establishment of gender baselines and continuing monitoring.
- Implement the quality assurance process for knowledge products (K-CAP) for all new Pacific Centre knowledge products and publications.
- Liaise with Pacific Centre teams, and country offices, identify opportunities, and assist with advocacy activities for the adoption and implementation of knowledge management processes
- Support the roll out of the Corporate Knowledge Strategy by engaging in advocacy and communications.
- Promote the use of knowledge sharing tools and services; strengthen knowledge sharing processes and support KM events and consolidate clients feedback that reflect on the development of such tools, products and services
- Provide advisory services on formulating and implementing effective knowledge management strategies into programmes, appropriate for the Pacific region.
- Provide training on Teamworks and support the use of Teamworks to assist in effective knowledge management in programmes, where appropriate.
- Provide training in CoP formation and development, networking, facilitation/moderation services to Pacific Centre practice teams, other UN agencies and Country Office teams
- Support the formulation of CO programmes including clear and measurable goals, targets and indicators related to gender equality and women’s empowerment, focusing on outcomes.
- Engage colleagues across all programme units in a dialogue on gender in their work, and support colleagues to set up gender-specific objectives in their work plans;
- Organize capacity development events on gender concepts, gender analysis and planning for staff and counterparts across thematic areas
- Provide effective support and backstopping for, and timely feedback and reporting on implementation of programmes in support of the gender architecture.
- Identify viable means of engaging Pacific communities of practice to help to improve existing programmes
- Creatively and proactively support CoP facilitators to better serve online community participants. Identify and offer solutions for breaking down traditional barriers to promote cross-practice/location dialogue.
- Participate in professional networking by interacting with peers and influencers & attending events/trainings
Learning, Knowledge Management and Outreach
- Support outreach of KM tools and services to client countries, agencies and practices in consultation with and/or in response to requests
- Contribute to the organization of events for the Asia-Pacific Gender Community of Practice; and
- Participate in local Knowledge Management sharing events and support the corporate Knowledge Management agenda.
- Develop partnerships and ensure effective coordination with other key partners, including UNDP COs and UNDP programmes; other UN agencies; with government institutions, bi-lateral organizations and the private sector and civil society – based on the strategic goals of UNDP, country needs and donors’ priorities.
- Support the coordination and organization of regional forums/ meetings with key policy makers/government representatives from countries of the Pacific for advocacy, knowledge networking and capacity strengthening in initiatives related to gender equality.
- Contribute experience and expertise to the formulation at the regional and central level of new and evolving global policies, norms and standards.

Habilidades y experiencia requeridas
- A Master's degree in gender equality, development studies, international relations, knowledge management or related area.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant national and international experience, in gender equality and knowledge management within a development context. Pacific experience and knowledge will be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to proactively manage a community of practice (CoP) including moderation, facilitation and design, as well as monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Experience in facilitation, networking and moderation services and knowledge of Teamworks, Lyris an advantage
- Demonstrated track record of supporting UNDP country offices and UN agencies on Knowledge Management and Gender Equality initiatives
- Work experience in the Pacific region an advantage
- Demonstrated skills in team work involving a multi-disciplinary environment
- Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
