Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative, the Project Chief Technical Advisor and under the direct supervision of the Community Vaccinator Advisor, the National Vaccination Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination, evaluation and monitoring of the Operational Research Community Vaccination Programme.

• Assist in the evaluation of the implementation of the community vaccination programme and be specifically involved with: coordination of activities, use of appropriate vaccine and vaccine technology, development of effiecient extension materials and methodologies, implementation of simple M & E systems with both socioeconomic and technical indicators, and evaluation of economic sustainability;
• Oversee District Trainers/Supervisors and Community Vaccinators;
• Monitor the cold chain through information provided by the provincial and district cold chain monitors; and provide feedback into ways of improving vaccine distribution;
• Evaluate serological data from vaccination trials to improve vaccination protocols in Sector 4;
• Facilitate information sharing among all stakeholders from the national government to the local farmer;
• Evaluate the effectiveness of newly developed training materials for District Trainers/Supervisors and Community Vaccinators and suggest improvements;
• Collaborate with District Trainers/Supervisors and Community Vaccinators to improve socialization of the vaccination programme with local communities; and
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Appropriate bachelors or university degree – Veterinary science or livestock bachelor’s degree;
• Possesses an understanding of the issues involved in the control of poultry diseases especially HPAI and ND in Indonesia;
• Experience in working with government veterinary services or authorities;
• Able to work well in, and contribute to, a team environment;
• Minimum five (5) years progressive secretarial and administrative work experience in a development project;
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and good command of written and spoken English;
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Word, Excel and Power Point;
• Ability to produce high quality work under pressure and meet all set deadlines;
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect to diversity; and
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
