Background

Candidates who previously applied need not re-apply.

UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. UN Women believes that partnerships and collaborative relationships are critical to deliver results for gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. We work with a broad range of partners, including the private sector, all over the world in order to achieve such outcomes.

Recognizing the important contribution that the private sector brings to advancing women’s rights and well-being, in 2014 UN Women developed a strategic framework to enable UN Women to  maximize opportunities on individual giving, corporate fundraising, and corporate social responsibility. The strategic framework for private sector resource mobilization intends to evolve UN Women’s approach to individual and corporate partnerships based on shared value, and ensuring that the Organization continues to maximize results for women and girls.

UN Women now wishes to strengthen its capacity for more systematic engagement with the private sector and non-traditional partners in support of innovations for the most disadvantaged women and girls.

More specifically, it seeks to develop and execute a strategy and operational plan for philanthropic and private sector outreach and fundraising in Thailand, that will result in increased resources for UN Women’s work.
