Background

The Enterprise Application Development section under the Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for developing sustainable and affordable IT solutions to meet UNOV/UNODC requirements, also enabling availability of the solutions more generally across the UN Secretariat entities.

The India Technical Hub (EAD-ITH) based in New Delhi forms part of the vital delivery pillars of the ITS in keeping with the UN’s revised ICT strategy. As part of this strategy and under the direct supervision of the Head - ITH; the SharePoint Online Developer will liaise with the Team Leader, UWP Support for day to day work and be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assesses requirements and requests to identify simple yet effective SharePoint Online implementation approaches.
  • Reviews workflows in current legacy applications and proposes approaches to create replacement solutions using SharePoint Online.
  • Assesses paper-based workflows to identify and implement SharePoint Online workflow solutions
  • Creates re-usable workflow components in SharePoint Online to shorten development effort/time required in subsequent implementations.
  • Prepares SharePoint Online workflows for roll-out to UNOV/UNODC staff globally and to staff at other UN Secretariat entities.
  • Reviews approach technologies, and code with UNOV/UNODC staff, to ensure ongoing support and technological awareness.
  • Collects usage and other uptake tracking information for presentation in dashboards and other reports.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:   

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Informtion Technology from a recognized university. Relevant additional post-secondary education or training in IT, computer science or related field is an asset.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of working experience in SharePoint Online application development.
  • Experience in working with other related Microsoft technologies like Power BI.

Languages: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is desirable.

Evaluation Criteria:

The award of the contract shall be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as a response and has received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation.

  • Technical Criteria weight - 70%.
  • Financial Criteria weight - 30%.

Only candidates obtaining a minimum of 49 points (70% of the total technical points) would be considered for the financial evaluation.

Criteria for Technical Evaluation:

  • Qualification – 10 marks.
  • Relevant Work Experience – 60 marks.

Criteria for Financial Evaluation:

  • Technically qualified consultants will be requested to submit their lump sum rate i.e., consultants who score more than or equal to 70%, i.e., 49 marks with respect to the above-mentioned evaluation criteria. The consultant should not specify their consultancy fee on their CV or with the submission. The CV will not be evaluated further in case the consultant submits the same.
  • Candidates obtaining a minimum of 49 points/marks (70% of the total technical points) only would be considered for the Financial Evaluation.

2. Travel, Lodging and Boarding as per the UNDP rules subject to the prior approval.
