Background

The Recruitment Consultant will be responsible for managing recruitment of the following staff positions based on the SLA for the UNOCHA in line with UNDP procedures: Recruitment consultant will work closely with UNOCHA colleagues (both CO and HQ), UNDP CO and UNDP GHRSC Staff Recruitment Team to successfully complete the recruitment by following all the necessary steps starting from position creation to onboarding of the successful candidates.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Submitting Recruitment requests into UNall with the correct forms filled and duly signed;
  • Circulating the VAs published in UNDP Jobsites within HR Network and relevant Newspapers;
  • Coordinate Shortlisting process, desk review/interview, technical assessment with the hiring managers;
  • Interact with selected candidates to undergo health checks and complete mandatory documents;
  • Confirm employee interest to the post and check availability;
  •  Liaise with Candidates for signing the Letter of Offer and Letter of Appointment.

Required Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications

  • Secondary education with Specialized certification in HR;
  • With University degree in HR, business or public administration is an asset, 4 years of relevant work experience will be sufficient.

Experience

  • 7 years of relevant experience at the national and/or international levels in providing HR management support services in both strategical and tactical levels managing, recruitment, and other fronts in HR discipline;
  • Experience in HR Consultancy providing key results with minor supervision;
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Office);
  • Experience in handling of web-based management systems and ERP systems, experience with Peoplesoft or Atlas is an asset;
  • HR certification is an advantage;
  • Previous working experience with UN is an asset.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese
  • Working knowledge of other UN language is desirable
