Personal CV or P11, indicating all past positions held and their main underlying functions, their durations (month/year), the qualifications, as well as the contact details (email and telephone number) of the Candidate, and at least three (3) the most recent professional references of previous supervisors. Office/Unit/Project Description
The Office of Audit and Investigations (OAI) reports to the Administrator and is responsible for internal audit and investigations services to UNDP and its affiliated entities. OAI provides independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls. OAI also responds to allegations of misconduct by conducting and reporting on investigations. The Investigations Section of OAI is responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of misconduct, such as mismanagement, fraud, corruption, retaliation on whistle-blowers, workplace harassment, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, violation or willful disregard of UNDP regulations, rules, and administrative instructions, that involve UNDP staff, contractors and other applicable persons.
OAI seeks to engage suitably skilled and experienced international personnel under the International Personnel Services Agreement (IPSA) to support OAI in providing language assistance in the designated languages to the OAI Investigations Section and its Information Analysis Team (IAT) in all aspects of the work that falls within OAI’s mandate and related work assignments. OAI’s primary need is for French and Spanish language assistance. Additional UN official languages being Arabic, Russian and Chinese are desirable.
Institutional Arrangement
The IPSA Investigations Language Analyst (s) will be tasked by the Head of Information Analysis Team (IAT). All work products produced by the Investigations Language Analyst (s) as a result of this engagement are owned by UNDP and shall be submitted to OAI Investigations Section (IS).

Scope of Work
- Provide professional, accurate and timely translation services from English into the designated language and vice versa such that the meaning and understanding of all facts, evidence and analysis presented in the documents translated reflect their true sense and meaning.
- Provide complete and accurate interpretation services (remotely) during missions to the field or in support of operations at Headquarters.
- Provide professional and accurate interpretation service for interviews, meetings and discussions conducted from English to the designated language and vice versa.
- Ensure that the translation text is technically, linguistically and grammatically correct, and meets high quality standards.
- Translation shall be done within the agreed deadlines when work is identified and assigned.
- Perform other language tasks as required, for example sight translation tasks.
- Undertake any other language related assistance to the Section as assigned by the OAI Management team.
- Observe confidentiality and refrain from divulging any information about the content of the text or interviews/discussions.
