Background Additional building projects on the UN Campus are planned to a further consolidation over the next several years.The common premises in Bonn are managed by UNV on behalf of the UN entities in Bonn. The UNV organization The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. Organizational setting The Common Services (CS) has responsibility for the overall management of the UN premises buildings and for services that are shared by the UN Agencies residing at the UN Campus in Bonn. The CS main business objectives are the upkeep of business continuity at the Campus facilities and its infrastructure as well as the provision of client services in the area of building management, logistics, conference services, shared ICT infrastructures and safety and security services. The overall security management responsibility of the UN Campus in Bonn, Germany is assigned to the CS and its Security Team.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Interns are selected on a competitive basis. Applicants to UNV internships must at the time of application meet one of the following academic requirements: (a) Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher); (b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent); (c) Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation; (d) Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
