The Advanced Capacities for Trade project (first phase) has been uniquely designed to respond to these challenges by contributing to a host of complex and inter-linked goals, aiming at supporting an environment of trust and cooperation across the post-conflict divide through capitalizing on the opportunities offered by the DCFTA and consolidating trade ties across the river and with the EU, while supporting economic growth that benefits the most vulnerable. To this end, the project facilitates the integration of Transnistrian businesses into the export promotion mechanisms on the right bank through reducing the information gap on DCFTA, enhancing the MSME competitiveness and supporting the development of the entrepreneurship culture, with a particular focus on the vulnerable. The second phase of the initiative will support the development of the enabling environment (including capacity development and regulatory measures) for cross-river cooperation and integration of exporters, will continue expanding access of Transnistrian region’s enterprises (particularly SMEs) to export promotion mechanisms on the right bank, as well as provide tailored support and build necessary skills, taking into account specific needs of current and future exporters from the region. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the staff members to which he/she is assigned, the intern is supposed to assist on a part-time basis in daily implementation of the tasks in the above-mentioned Units.
