Position: Human Resource Consultant Unit: Human Resources Duty Station: Home-based Duration: 6 months with probability of extension
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. The Human Resources (HR) section is responsible for the timely, accurate, equitable, effective and efficient delivery of all HR management services, i.e., strategic staff planning, recruitment, staff administration, organizational design, workplace relations, performance management and learning and career development. The HR section is also responsible for the continuous development and improvement in HR operations, policies, and methods that ensure the alignment with UN Women evolving business needs. UN Women also provides advisory support to the Executive Director in the formulation and implementation of UN Women's overall mission, strategy and plans of actions. Reporting to the Human Resource Associate, the HR Consultant will work on advising clients under the designated portfolio, on consultant recruitment processes and provide support on administrative and transactional operations-related-matters. The consultant will work closely with relevant members of the HR Team on maintaining data and handling clients’ requests during surge periods.
