Background UNDP is the UN Development Programme and works in some 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. UNDP helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results. In 2022, UNDP is continuing to work to support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as they help shape global sustainable development for the next 15 years. The Talent Acquisition and People Programmes (TAPP) Unit is part of the UNDP Office of Human Resources. TAPP was established in Copenhagen in early 2020. It builds on the UNDP Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Service Centre set-up and includes the JPO Service Centre. The TAPP unit is responsible for:
Internship Stipend: interns are provided a monthly stipend to cover costs associated to the internship. The stipend amount varies from duty station to duty station. The amount can also vary depending if a selected candidate receives financial support from a nominating institution, related institution or government. For Copenhagen, this stipend is an equivalent of $1000 per month (exact amount to be confirmed). Overview: Under the supervision of the Chief, Talent Acquisition and People Programmes (Copenhagen) OHR is hiring an intern to support the implementation of People for 2030’s Recruitment Strategy to broaden the outreach efforts to attract a diverse and qualified candidate pool. Part of the objective of the People for 2030 Recruitment Strategy are: encouraging the engagement of highly qualified, motivated candidates from across the world to join UNDP and improving the speed and quality of recruitment. In order to realize these aims, the People for 2030 Recruitment Strategy is focused on the following deliverables:
This role is for students who primarily wish to demonstrate their ability to implement a creative and innovative recruitment outreach strategy to attract candidates to join one of the largest UN entities, UNDP.

Education:
- Preferred educational background in Social Media Communication and/ or Human Resources, Recruitment & Outreach or related areas
- Student enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
Experience:
- Previous experience in recruitment and outreach communications in a private/ public sector setting,
- Demonstrated experience of thinking outside of the box in communication and outreach campaigns on social media
- HR, Recruitment & Outreach experience is an asset.
- Experience with the creation of Instagram Stories, Reels and Live video in a professional or personal context is an advantage
Language:
Fluency in English is required;
Working knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
Internship Stipend:

Internship conditions:
- Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station where the internship will be performed
- Interns are not eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any posts in UNDP during the period of the internship.
- Interns must provide proof of enrolment in health insurance plan.
- Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity.
- Interns are expected to work full-time but flexibility is allowed for education programmes.
The selected candidate is expected to start the internship around early to mid-September 2023
