UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.
At UN Women Regional Office Asia and the Pacific, the Strategic Partnerships Pillar is one of the three functional pillars of the External Relations Unit (covering regional partnerships and resource mobilization, advocacy and communications). The Strategic Partnerships Pillar focuses on building partnerships with bilateral partners as well as private sector entities, non-profit organizations, and the media. The Strategic Partnerships team supports country offices with their private sector fundraising and engagement efforts, including trialling new modes of individual and public giving.
