Antecedentes
UNDP OFFICE IN UZBEKISTAN seeks multilingual, motivated candidates with appropriate experience for the position of a Driver for the joint Project of UNDP and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation “Support to Sustainable Development of Livestock in Uzbekistan”.
Background:
The joint project is aimed at helping the Government of Uzbekistan (GOU) to effectively formulate, coordinate and implement sustainable livestock management policy to increase people’s live standard, mainly in rural regions. In the framework of joint project the activities will be implemented for demonstration of practical improved livestock management skills for Uzbek farmers and livestock specialists. Furthermore, the project has established two pilots in Tashkent regions: Kuychirchik and Chinaz districts for testing of integrated production technologies involving breeding, nutrition and veterinary services. In realization of these goals the project is searching for suitable candidates for the post of driver, who will perform his/her duties in area of Tashkent and Tashkent regions under the overall guidance of the Project Manager (PM).
Deberes y responsabilidades
1. Performs relevant duties within working hours (9:00 – 18:00), 5 day a week and makes
him/herself available at any moment during working hours;
2. Drives his privately owned vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel, including
international experts;
3. Meet official personnel at the airport as required;
4. Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of
involvement in accident;
5. Ensures daily operational condition of the car, bears full responsibility for his private
car maintenance and any type of reparation/spare parts replacement at own expenses, checks
oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, electrolyte levels etc, ensures that the vehicle is kept clean;
Competencias
7. Assist to project in logistics duties; delivers and collects mail, documents and other items;
8. Assists to project in delivering of office supplies and stationeries;
9. Performs other duties as may be requested by the Project Manager and related to the
project activities.
Habilidades y experiencia requeridas
1. At leas 5 years of professional driving experience and previous work for an international
organization and companies would be considered as an advantage;
2. Having of driving license for category “B”;
4. Privately owned vehicle (sedan, i.e. Nexia, or equivalent, vehicle manufactured in
2000 or later, with installed air conditioner and good work of heating system);
5. Fluency in Russian and Uzbek, Basic knowledge of English;
6. Safe driving record
7. Good communications skills, client-orientation, honesty and ability to work in a team
The candidate who will be selected for driver position should further ensure third party liability insurance for his/her car.
