Duties and Responsibilities
- Provision of reliable and safe driving
- Proper use of vehicle
- Day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle
- Availability of documents/ supplies
- Liaise and coordinate with local authorities to facilitate smooth running of vehicle movement in the designated area.
- Keep abreast of developments on local security situation including security information which might have impact on vehicle movements.
Ensures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports
Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, telecommunication equipment are in place and functioning properly etc.

Required Skills and Experience
- Secondary education with a valid class 6 PNG Driver’s license.
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of relevant safe driving record.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair, operation of HF/VHF radio equipment, 4x4 vehicle operation.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), will be an advantage.
Language:
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Pidgin and Motu preferred.
