Background

UNDP Brazil is looking for individuals with very good experience in ASP.Net with C# development to work on various corporate level projects within the ICT Unit. These projects range from the initial business analysis, scope, design and implementation of administrative solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities


Summary of Key Functions: 
- Implementation of ICT web-sites & Provision of web management services
-Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing

1. Ensures Implementation of web-sites management & provision of web management services focusing on achievement of the following results: 
- Compliance with corporate information management and technology standards, guidelines and procedures for the CO technology environment. 
- Enhance and continually improve the UNDPs websites/Intranet and user experience in terms of its layouts, up to date contents, resources, the look and the links. 
- Plan, design, develop, write, revise and update contents and web pages through collection, research and analysis of information covering the UNDP, its sub-sites structures, its program, activities, partners, beneficiaries, the results and success stories the use of multimedia. 
- Manage the process of organizing and up loading the contents, web pages and key UNDP documents and information products timely and in easy to access format and links. 
- Implement corporate UNDP Content Management System dealing directly with UNDP HQ and Partners consultants. 
- Identification of the opportunities and ways of converting business processes into web-based systems to address the issues of efficiency (office management system, donor profile software, knowledge management systems).

2. Provides administrative support focusing on achievement of the following results:
-Provision of advice on and assistance in procurement of new equipment/solutions for the CO and projects, provision of technical specifications and information on best options in both local and international markets, review of quotations and bids.
-Maintenance of an up-to-date documentation of the Web sites, web Systems and Intranet.
-Maintenance of the library of reference materials.

The key results have an impact on the overall efficiency of the Country Office including improved business results and client services. Forward-looking development has an impact on the organization of office management, knowledge sharing, and information provision.

Education: Secondary Education. University Degree in Computer Science or related field, but not a requirement.

Experience: Minimum 3 years working with website implementation.
Experience and advanced knowledge in: ASP.Net, C# , WebForms, MVC3 and MVC4 with Razor, Visual Studio 2010/2012, Javascript, Jquery / Jquery UI
Knowledge of: HTML 4.01, HTML5/CSS3, Tableless (Divs, lists, span). SQL Server 2008, CRUD, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions. ADO.Net DataSet and Entity Framework.

Language Requirements: Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge English.

The candidate must have Brazilian Nationality or be legally authorized to work in the country
