- Maintaining and improving the technical implementation of www.undp.org and other sites developed on the enterprise content management system Adobe CQ product using best practices in an analytics-driven approach;
- Contribution to the implementation of UNDP’s online strategy, including building a culture of storytelling, enhancing the user experience and increasing engagement;
- Ongoing support for HQ units, regional centers and Country Offices, including guidance around the technical implementation and operation of country office sites;
- Ensure transparency and consistency around UNDP’s global and country operations; and
- Integrating Adobe CQ product with social media and open data visualization APIs.
- Work with Online team to recommend and validate solutions to address business needs and opportunities (with input from HQ, regional centers and country offices), and propose changes that would make the Adobe CQ environment a more effective solution;
- Gather business requirements and review preliminary requirements documents and create technical design documents and implementation plans for small to complex projects;
- Develop and extend the functionality of the Adobe CQ system based on the technical design documents to ensure efficient, cost-effective online communications, including the creation of new modules for new functionality, modification of templates, and other development needs;
- Liaise with the Office of Information Systems and Technology to ensure a secure, reliable hosting platform for the Adobe CQ system. This includes maintaining current industry knowledge of infrastructure, best practices and procedures for Adobe CQ systems; and
- Provides user support for issues and matters that requires technical interventions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of UNDP’s online strategy, making sure that the organization complies with the strictest standards of design, content, usability and security; and
- Support the entire communications team to ensure the best standards for search engine optimization, usability and online analytics.
- Provide guidance and feedback for UNDP’s communications staff in the Country Offices, helping them to comply with UNDP’s requirements for Country Office websites;
- Encourage all Country Offices to comply with the requirements for online transparency; report to donors by organizing presentations; and
- Assist all HQ units and regional bureaus to enhance their online presence while staying in tune with the organization’s branding and identity.

- Strong understanding in employing Modern Web Architecture such as MVC, MVP, REST;

- Strong knowledge with developing websites that consume APIs (Facebook / Twitter / open data visualization);
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methods and production change control processes;
- Good knowledge of UNIX / Linux Concepts and Shells like BASH;
- Good knowledge of Apache Web Server, JBoss, WebSphere, or Tomcat;
- Development tools (SVN, Maven, JIRA/issue tracking, Bamboo/continuous integration);
- Knowledge of SQL and Databases a plus (for system integrations); and

Qualifications et expériences requises
- Master's degree in computer science or related field with five years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years work experience with increasing levels of scope and responsibility.
- Minimum Five (5) years of relevant experience in development and management of dynamic websites; significant experience with online publishing, including analytics and social media, deep experience with using and supporting others in the use of content management systems;
- Within the relevant experience, inclusive of minimum 3 years of web development experience, particularly with Java, JavaScript, XML, bash scripting, CSS is required. Inclusive of at least 2 years of experience developing Adobe CQ or similar sy;
- Inclusive of at least 2 years or more hands-on experience Implementing, Enhancing, and Troubleshooting Adobe CQ5 Content Management Systems (CMS) (version 5.3 and above) or similar system;
- Significant inclusive experience (at least 2 years) with Java based website technology and frameworks. (JSP, Sling, Struts, Java Servlets , JSTL, and JavaEE);
- Experience in gathering requirements and performing technical analysis;
- Experience working in an Agile environment;
- Experience of a multi-cultural and gender sensitive work environment.
- English fluency required, working knowledge of French or Spanish is highly desirable.
