Historique
Under the framework of UNDP Country Programme (2013-2015), UNDP has rolled out its Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Programme in 2013. The main focus of this DRR Programme is to strengthen disaster risk management institutions, systems, networks and mainstreaming DRR into development planning. The programme also emphasizes on developing the technical and functional capacity of the government personnel who engage in disaster risk management.
Devoirs et responsabilités
- Beginner level; for those who have very minimal English language skills;
- Intermediate level; for those who are able to communicate basic and familiar ideas with simple sentences and, are able to engage in simple discussion of the talking content.
- After launching the first two courses, and the preliminary tests are done, the Consultant reports to UNDP on the selected participants list;
- Based on the preliminary tests, the consultant will organize the participants in two level courses (beginner 1 & Intermediate 1) and provide trainings;
- At the end of the first 8 week courses, a final test will be arranged by the English Teacher/Consultant.
- The English teacher/consultant will prepare a report on the skill improvement of the course participants and will submit to RRD and UNDP;
- Based on the scores, the participants will be selected to continue the next level courses (i.e. beginner 2 & Intermediate 2);
- The consultant will provide trainings for beginner 2 & Intermediate 2;
- At the end of the second 8 week courses, a course-end test will be arranged by the English Teacher/Consultant.
- The English Teacher/consultant will prepare a report on the skill improvement of the course participants and will submit to RRD and UNDP.

Qualifications et expériences requises
- Master in English as a second language or relevant fields of English literature, and teaching;
- Certification/licenses in teaching English to speakers of other language.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a teacher/trainer in English as second language;
- Experience in working in groups as well as individual leaning is a requirement;
- Experience in working with government officials is an asset;
- In-depth experience in developing teaching curriculum.
Language:
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
