Background
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the (Chief) Security Adviser (CSA) or the Field Security Coordination Officer (FSCO)/ or Designated Supervisor by (CSA):
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in collecting, updating and communicating information regarding the security situation in the country;
- Assists in maintaining/implementation of the Security Plan, including updating staff lists;
- Supports the supervisor with the assessment of Minimum Operational Security Standards (MOSS) for the duty station;
- Assists in reporting/updating security incidents affecting UN staff, offices and assets;
- Organizes and delivers training courses on security awareness and preparedness;
- Assists in ensuring residential (Minimum Operating Residential Security Standards – MORSS) and office safety, and security preparedness;
- Assists in assessing and updating country /area Security Level System;
- Provides general administrative assistance to the supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent, a bachelor degree in law, political science or IT field or relevant studies is preferable but not a requirement.
- Staff/employee safety management in private sectors.
- Knowledge of Google Maps API / Content Management System is advantageous;
- Experience in operating HF and VHF equipments.
Must be computer literate and fully conversant as a user of the following software, ICDL certificate is preferable
- Microsoft Word;
- Microsoft Excel;
- Microsoft Access;
- Microsoft Power Point;
- GIS Mapping Software currently in use;
- SMS Software.
- Fluency in spoken & written Arabic and English.
- Willing to work at night, weekends and holidays.
- Good communication, presentation and reporting skills.
- Having skills to work within a team based environment.
- Possession of a valid driver license.
- Gender knowledge is an asset.
- Availability to travel within the area of responsibility.
