- Build and nurture FL team(s) in NMMU and SRLMs to plan and implement Farm Livelihoods Agenda towards sustainable enhancement in the livelihoods in general and farm-based livelihoods in particular under NRLM;
- Identify the existing best practices of farmers working in groups (SHG/federation/producer group/producer company/cooperative etc.), in different states and come up with scaling up strategies on community-based models for livelihood promotion and strengthening in other states;
- Develop Framework for the Poor and the Vulnerable towards enhancing livelihoods based on land, water, forests etc., including community-based sustainable agriculture and pursue its implementation in states and nationally, roping in financial institutions, private sector players, CSOs, NGOs and government line departments for capacity building, credit accessibility, improving productivity, product value addition and market reach.
- Provide support to SRLMs in identifying the existing gaps and challenges for women farmers under the Mahila Kisan Sashaktikaran Pariyojna (MKSP);
- Facilitate SRLMs to take the MKSP forward;
- Facilitate Capacity Building of SRLM staff and Communities (members, leaders, cadres and institutions), including working with National Resource Organizations, Resource Agencies and Resource Persons;
- Facilitate development and implementation of context-specific Livelihoods chapters of Model Community Operations Manuals with protocols in Implementation Blocks;
- Facilitate SRLMs to operationalize various systems at multiple levels that serve the Farm Livelihoods Agenda;
- Support Perspective and Annual Action Plan Processes in SRLMs for Farm Livelihoods and review progress against plans;
- Facilitate SRLMs in managing convergence and partnerships in Farm Livelihoods area;
- Support NMMU as its core strategy team member; and
- Perform any other related tasks consistent with the level of the post and/ or assigned by the Mission Director, NRLM. and Programme Analyst, UNDP.

- Has good research and analytical skills including sampling, methodology and tool development, skills in data analysis and report writing;
- Has expertise in using Livelihoods Planning and micro-planning tools, methods and skills;
- Has expertise in value-chain analysis and subsector studies;
- Has hands-on supply chain management knowledge and expertise.
- Ability to build and sustain effective partnerships with Government Agencies and main constituents, advocate effectively, communicate sensitively across different constituencies;
- Possesses consultative and collaborative capacities.
- Capacity to gather comprehensive information on complex problems or situations, evaluate information accurately and identify key issues required to resolve problems;
- Builds strong relationships with the NMMU team and State Rural Livelihoods Missions, focusing on impact and result;
- Possesses basic knowledge of organizational policies and procedures relating to the position and applies them consistently in work tasks.

Qualifications et expériences requises
Education:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Technology, Management, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Dairying, ICT, Economics, Social Sciences, Political Science, Development Studies or related fields.
Experience:
- Large Poverty Reduction/Livelihoods Projects as part of senior management;
- Designing large poverty reduction/livelihoods projects;
- Farm-based livelihoods including collectives and producer companies;
- Livelihoods Planning, Value-chain Analysis and Subsector Studies;
- Business Planning in Enterprises;
- Backward and Forward Linkages, Supply Chain Management and Marketing of/for the farm produce;
- Range of studies on financial inclusion and studies involving community based institutions;
- Coordination and facilitation of senior, complex teams.
- Providing management advisory services;
- Hands-on experience in community-based livelihoods promotion, including farm-based livelihoods, rural development, etc.
Language:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English. Good knowledge of Hindi is desirable and any state language/s is an asset.
Travel:
- Has willingness to travel.
Remuneration package is Rs. 256,240/- per month (taxable).
