Historique
The UNDP internship programme offers an outstanding graduate-level student the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UN and UNDP's work with the objective of deepening his/her knowledge and understanding of UN’s goals, principles and activities. It is designed to complement communication-oriented studies with practical experience in various professional aspects. Interns are not financially remunerated by the UNDP.
Under the overall guidance of the Unit Manager the Intern is expected to provide support ensuring high quality of work and timely service delivery.
Devoirs et responsabilités
Provides effective technical and administrative support including the following:
- Collection and research of information on various thematic issues, including political affairs, socio-economic development, and human rights.
- Compilation of background materials for analytical briefs, information notes, and letters on various topics related to the UN operation.
- Support to organization of events and meetings by preparing, distributing and coordinating invitations, drafting background materials.
- Translation from English to Ukrainian and vice versa of various documents, including incoming and outgoing communications, information for the website, etc.
- Collection of news and updates as regards operation and activities of the UN system agencies, consolidation of inputs to the UNCT newsletter.
- Provision of any other support as required by the team.
Impact of Results
Planned activities and daily course of work are executed accurately and timely according to the agreed schedule and contribute to effective UN coordination support.

Qualifications et expériences requises
Education:
Enrolled student of degree programme (or completed 4 years of full-time studies at a university) preferably specialized in International Relations, International Information, Linguistics or related
Experience:
Experience with office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
Language Requirements:
Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian and English
