Antecedentes
This Program supports the National Planning Commission and under its aegis the Central Bureau of Statistics to strengthen their capacity to promote pro-poor and evidence-based planning and monitoring and evaluation based on a) improved generation of data and b) analysis of evidence of development issues and trends in Nepal.
Deberes y responsabilidades
Under the overall guidance of the National Program Director, the Research Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Project Officer. The Research Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Officer in planning, documentation and report writing;
- Provide support to the Project Officer and other specialists in drafting concept notes, terms of reference and other relevant documents;
- Assist project team in doing background research, e.g., data collection and analysis;
- Provide logistical support in training, workshop, planning and dissemination meetings;
- Assist in administrative and finance matters to maintain project inventory of goods and equipment;
- Perform any other duty assigned by programme management.

Habilidades y experiencia requeridas
Education:
- Completeion of Intermediate level.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in development research and planning;
- Understanding of Nepal’s socio economic development;
- Good computer skills especially MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
Language:
- Fluency in spoken and written Nepali and English languages is required.
