WHO Country Office in Ukraine is in process of renting new office space in Kyiv, which needs renovation. In this regard, we would like to hire and independent qualified architect (preferably English speaking) to make an assessment of the required work, based on our needs, and to oversee the whole project during the renovation.
Devoirs et responsabilités
- In consultation with responsible WHO Staff, the incumbent will have to identify the exact works/renovations that are needed in order to create an standard office environment;
- The incumbent would make an assessment of the building, and in accordance to WHO CO needs, standard office environment and the overall safety and security requirements, while adhering to the legal procedures in Ukraine and in Kyiv City, he/she would make recommendations on:
- engineering solutions for adapting the space to WHO needs;
- propose additional rearrangements necessary for standard office environment;
- design a simple and modern working environment keeping the overall investment to minimum;
- selection of appropriate materials to be used/design;
- identify the exact extend of works that are required to meet the standards;
- identify most needed while minimum changes, taking into account the organigram and functions of WHO in Ukraine, considering the need to move to the new premises by beginning of June 2015 (approx. 8 weeks for completion works)
- solutions for computer and telephone network scheme requirements;
- prepare a detailed plan, list of works, including the area measurements (in sqm), and estimated cost within maximum of 5 working days from the start of work;
- The incumbent would be responsible also to supervise the works during renovations/repairs, ensuring that the job is completed to acceptable standards;
- Intermediate between WHO and the contracted company for execution of works
- Provide a final report
Compétences
- Ability to independently make assessment of buildings
- Design ergonomically working environment
Qualifications et expériences requises
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution;
- Working knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools and equipment employed in building and facilities reconstruction
- Minimum of 5 (five) years of working experience in architecture, design, etc.;
Language requirement:
- Ukrainian and/or Russian, knowledge of English (desired)
