Background

Under the guidance and supervision of the Communication Unit, the photographer shall be responsible for the following:

To provide digital photos, photo stories and videos for the UNDP/UN Bahrain. The documentation will comprise of photos and videos covering the events, workshops, conferences and meetings held.

The documentation is needed to have a stock of high quality photos to be used in different communications and advocacy materials. The photograph should be accompanied by the following information: caption, location, names of persons in the picture, and date. The photos need to be delivered to the UNDP/UN within one day following each assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The photos need to be delivered to the UNDP/UN within one days following the assignment

Provide 30 photos (minimum) from each activity which will include - Digital colour photos, JPG format with high resolution

Work to be submitted in CD/USB format with captions in IPTC code. All images to be in jpeg

large format with no compression.

The following information needs to be given along with EACH picture:

Description:

*Kindly provide a financial proposal for a 2-hour event, 4-hour event and 8-hour event.*

Competencies

Longstanding experience in covering high level events and conferences both through Photography and Video.
Ability for team work.
Ability to work autonomously.
Ability to work under high pressure.
Ability to keep deadlines.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

Minimum secondary education;

Experience:

At least 5 years in Photo and Video profession (verified by CV and sample of work)

Language Requirements:

Working knowledge of English.
Working knowledge of Arabic an asset.
