Background

The Video Intern’s primary function is to support the Media & Advocacy Team’s video production services. These services include writing, filming, editing, publishing, and promoting video content, as well as technical and editorial support throughout UNDP global. Secondly, the Video Intern will be working on asset management. UNDP has a large video archive that must be maintained to support requests for footage, and production equipment that requires regular maintenance. Knowledge of digital editing software, video formats, file conversion and sharing software, and professional audio-visual equipment is required. The job requires creativity, enthusiasm in learning, good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality of output working under pressure. The ability to use good judgment and experience working in a multi-cultural setting are critical. |
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Media & Advocacy team, the Video Intern’s duties will include:
- Filming interviews and footage for UNDP and UN related events;
- Producing videos of UNDP projects;
- Producing promotional material for UNDP such as public service announcements;
- Filming footage and B-roll for UNDP, its partners, and media;
- Managing UNDP’s vast video archive;
- Responding to requests for video support and material;
- Managing production equipment, including computer hardware and software;
- Publishing video products online via the website and social media.
