Background

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Communications Analyst, the Communications Intern supports the implementation of the communications and advocacy strategies of the office to increase the standing and awareness of UNDP with partners, the media and the public. The Communications Intern promotes a client-oriented approach in UNDP.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Communications Analyst, the duties of Intern for Animation support will include:

  • Support in the production of animated videos of UNDP’s work on various projects;
  • Providing support for editing videos to be pushed through a variety of media channels (social, digital…etc)
  • Support in developing high-end motion infographics, case study videos
  • Support in responding to requests for video support and material;
  • Support in managing production equipment, including computer hardware and software;
  • Collaborating with team members 

Impact of Results:

The key results should have an impact on the overall efficiency of UNDP’s advocacy efforts.

  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects; Adobe Creative Suite; Adobe Premiere;
  • Knowledge of production of animated content, motion graphics and infographics;
  • Basic knowledge of recording broadcast/professional quality video and audio;
  • Knowledge of different video formats and file conversions from multiple formats;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Identifies priority activities and assignments;

Required Skills and Experience

Education : The candidate should be enrolled in a Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Media Sciences, Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Urdu required.  

Academic Requirements: Minimum CGPA of 3.0

  1. Proof of medical insurance of the intern, valid for the location(s) in which the internship will be carried out. (For the duration of the internship)
  2. Proof of life/accident insurance of the intern for the location(s) in which the internship will be carried out. (For the duration of the internship)
