Competencies

Competencies and special skills requirement:
• Organized and self-motivated and able to apply deadlines
• Experienced qualitative and interviewing researcher
• Have a very good understanding of palm oil certification processes for smallholders in Indonesia
• Able to collect substantial amounts of information and then develop a Report that includes only the most salient parts for the final Report.
• Be an excellent Report writer that can write engaging and interesting prose
• Relevant degree or work experience in social sciences, agriculture, anthropology or rural research and writing.

Required Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications:
Master in sustainable development, agriculture, International Politics, Communication, journalism, design, development studies, anthropology, or other related fields.
Years of experience:
• A minimum of 8 years’ work experience in the field of sustainable development in Indonesia relating to palm oil or forestry management
• Experience working with Government and in interdepartmental and multi-stakeholders’ settings
• Extensive knowledge of the Indonesian Palm oil sector, including in depth knowledge of the ISPO and RSPO certification process.
• Excellent Indonesian language copywriting and report writing skills (list of writing or article should be provided)
