Background
This is a Generic Vacancy Announcement (GVA) for Education Officer positions at the NOB level to the UNICEF Ukraine office duty stations.Talent Groups (TG) at UNICEF are exclusive lists of pre-vetted highly qualified candidates intended to fast-track recruitment processes as positions become available.After a rigorous selection process, successful candidates will be placed into the NOB Education Officer Talent Group for UNICEF Ukraine for a period of 36 months. While placement in the Talent Group does not guarantee a position, it is an important resource for filling vacancies. Candidates placed into the Talent Group will be reviewed when a relevant position becomes available, and if found suitable, are offered Fixed Term Appointments (FT) or Temporary Appointments (TA) through a direct selection.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief, Education Section or Education Specialist, the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programs/projects within the Country Program from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative program tasks to facilitate program development, implementation, program progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- A University Degree in education, psychology, sociology or other social science field is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in education and related areas at the international and/or in a developing country is required. Relevant experience in education and related areas, program/project development and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English and another UN language.
