Background The UNDP internship programme offers an outstanding graduate-level student the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UNDP's work with the objective of deepening his/her knowledge and understanding of UNDP’s goals, principles and activities. It is designed to complement development-oriented studies with practical experience in various professional aspects. Interns are not financially remunerated by UNDP. Objective of the internship: Support the environment team on green energy topics. Organizational Context The Green Energy Assistant will report directly to the Renewable Energy Specialist within the Environment and Climate Change Mitigation team and more generally to the Head of Unit for Environment and Climate Change Mitigation.

Duties and Responsibilities |

Support the Environment team on renewable energy data collection and strategy definition, focusing on the following topics:

Note: Activities can evolve during the course of the internship. Impact of Results The key results will fuel the definition of UNDP’s strategy in renewable energy as well as contribute to the sectoral strategic dialogue, with the possibility to lead to the definition of future projects. Accurate analysis and presentation of information, thoroughly researched and fully documented work strengthens the capacity of the office and facilitates subsequent action by the supervisor. The incumbent’s own initiative is decisive in results of work and timely finalization.
