Background

Background:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Heads of UNDP Programme Units and Funds, Intern shall provide support to the different UNDP Programme Units and Funds 
The appointed Intern works in close collaboration with the all program units, projects under UNDP, support team, Operations teams in the Country Office (CO), staff of other UN Agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support to implementation of the CO’s Programme Units / Funds activities

  2. Provide appropriate support to projects under UNDP Programme.

  3. Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing within UNDP;

  4. Assist in Coordinating of CO business processes mapping and establishment of internal

  5. Standard Operating Procedures.

  6. Support the promotion of the effectiveness and efficiency of UNDP Programme Units /Funds

  7. provide day to day support to the UNDP Programme units/funds.

  8.  Perform any other duty as and when required.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualification and Skills Required:

Education:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in Law, Human Rights, International development, or relevant discipline.
  • , or within one year from graduating from a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Adequate writing skills in Arabic and excellent English.

 

 Interest: Interest in understanding the UNDP way of work and programming principles
 

Language Requirements: Excellent English writing and oral skills.
