UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls, the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Placing women's rights at the center of all its efforts, UN Women will lead and coordinate United Nations System effort to ensure that commitments on gender equality and gender mainstreaming translate into action throughout the world. It will provide strong and coherent leadership in support of Members States' priorities and efforts, building effective partnerships with civil society and other relevant actors. In line with fulfilling UN WOMEN's strategic objectives, UN WOMEN Egypt Country Office focuses on three areas of immediate concern: Strengthening women's participation in governance and leadership, eradication of violence against women, and women's economic empowerment and rights. Under the guidance and supervision of the Country Representative and Deputy Country Representative, the Research and Knowledge Management consultant is responsible for carrying out the following tasks:

Language Requirenments: Fluency in written and oral English is required and Arabic is a plus.
Evaluation Criteria: UN Women applies a fair and transparent selection process that takes into account both the technical qualification of potential consultants as well as the financial proposals submitted in support of consultant applications. Individual consultants will be evaluated based on the following methodology: Cumulative analysis: When using this weighted scoring method, the award of the contract should be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as: Responsive/compliant/acceptable; Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation. Technical Criteria weight: 70% Financial Criteria weight: 30% Only candidates obtaining a minimum of 49 points in the technical evaluation would be considered for the Financial Evaluation. Criteria Weight Technical: 70%
Financial: Lowest financial proposal: 30%. Contract will be awarded to the technically qualified consultant who obtains the highest combined score (financial and technical). The points for the Financial Proposal will be allocated as per the following formula: (Lowest Bid Offered*)/ (Bid of the Consultant) x 30 Application procedure All interested applicants should submit the following requirements. The following 3 documents should be merged in one standalone file which includes all four documents, since the online application submission does only permit to upload one file per application. Incomplete submission can be a ground for disqualification.
