Background
The Office of Audit and Investigations (OAI), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) hereby invites individual consultants to submit application to support OAI/Policy, Quality Assurance and Special Investigations Unit by:
- Review citations to evidence in footnotes of investigation reports and other documents, and ensure they are accurate and complete;
Provide proofreading and editorial services, including ensuring compliance with the editing standards of the United Nations and relevant templates.
How to apply: (The applicants are advised to use Internet Explorer (Version 10 or above) to avoid any compatibility issues with the e-tendering system. Note: only applications through UNDP e-Tendering system will be considered for this LTA.)

3. Submit your application/offer: Once you have registered into the UNDP e-Tendering system, you can log in the system and search for the procurement notice of this LTA by using following information:

Duties and Responsibilities
Nature of services and scope of work: |
The consultant is required to provide assistance to the Policy, Quality Assurance and Special Investigations Unit with the review of draft investigation reports, management letters and other documents produced by the Investigations Section to ensure high quality and legal sufficiency of the work-products. The specific tasks that will be required of the consultant are:
Deliverables: Review draft reports or other investigations products in MS Word document format with review comments and edits tracked. The reviewed reports and investigations work products are to be submitted to the Investigations Advisor, Head of the Policy, Quality Assurance and Special Investigations Unit. Institutional arrangement: The consultant will be tasked by or on behalf of the Investigations Advisor, Head of the Policy, Quality Assurance, and Special Investigations Unit. The work performed by the consultant will be submitted to the Investigations Advisor, Head of the Policy, Quality Assurance and Special Investigations Unit.

Required Skills and Experience
Education
Advanced university degree (Masters) in investigations, law, business administration, finance or another directly relevant field is required.
First level degree in combination with passed Bar examinations, or a combination of formal professional training from a national law enforcement or investigations academy or equivalent and at least two years of additional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
Experience
At least one year of experience in the drafting, reviewing, editing and quality control of documents of an investigative or legal nature is required.
Experience working with UNDP or the UN System is desirable.
- Familiarity with investigative procedures applicable to UNDP is an advantage.
Language Skills
Fluency in oral and written English is required.
- Working knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic is desirable.
