The Communications, Innovation and Partnerships Team works closely with other teams on media relations, social media advocacy, SDG campaign, communications strategy as well as partnership coordination.
Devoirs et responsabilités
The intern, under the guidance and supervision of Assistant Resident Representative and Head of Communications, Innovation and Partnerships, will carry out the following duties and responsibilities: - Translation

- Translates official documents, including official reports, press releasees, speeches, project documents,and other documents as requested by the Team. (English to Chinese and Chinese to English);
- Provides interpreting service to high-level visits and events as requested by the office;
- Communication
- Assists in the preparation of communications and public-private partnerships outreach materials (i.e. PowerPoint presentations, brochures, etc.);
- Drafts media advisories, press releases, speeches, and correspondences;
- Drafts social media (Weibo and WeChat) articles and posts;
- Assists in conducting research, compiling background materials, statistical data and briefing notes for advocacy/outreach activities and media events;
- Assists in other ad hoc task forces requested by the Assistant Resident Representative and Head of Communications, Innovation and Partnerships.

Compétences
- Demonstrates commitment to UN’s mission, vision and values
- Relevant experience in translation and event planning
- Demonstrates leadership in university or social activities (MUN, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication ability in both English and Chinese
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Proactive, organized and self-motivated.
- Be confident, responsible, detail-oriented and skillful in communicating with others

Qualifications et expériences requises
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or;
- be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (undergraduate; minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
- have graduated with a university degree (first university degree, or second university degree or equivalent, or higher) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation.
- Majoring in English (translation), international relations, communications, journalism, or other relevant fields.
